      Deng Shuhao
      Deng Shuhao, Ph.D., Associate Professor. In 2003, she graduated from the College of Metallurgical Science and Engineering, Central South University, majoring in Metallurgical Physical Chemistry. After graduation, she has been engaged in teaching and scientific research in the department of Material Physics and Chemistry, School of Material Science and Engineering, Central South University. She was awarded associate professor in September 2005. From October 2016 to September 2017, she had been a visiting scholar in Albert University for one year sponsored by the fund of China Scholarship Council. She has been a peer-reviewer in the Joural of scientific reports,ACS (Applied Materials & Interfaces), etc., and the region editor in the International Journal of Nano and biomaterials.

      Research direction:

      (1) Preparation of nanocrystalline high purity metal foil (iron foil, nickel foil, copper foil), alloy foil (Invar alloy, Permo alloy, Iron-Nickel-Chromium alloy, etc.) by electrodeposition;

      (2) Electrochemical preparation of functional coatings on light alloy surface (self-cleaning and bacteriostatic functional coatings on aluminium and magnesium alloys) and ceramic coatings on micro-arc oxidation (ceramic oxide coatings on aluminium, magnesium and titanium);

      (3) The electrochemical preparation and application of conductive polymer functional composite membranes (PANI/PVA, PANI/PTFE/Metal composite membranes, PPY, etc.);

      (4) The preparation of battery materials (magnesium alloy anode material, conductive polymer cathode material, plastic solar cell material, lithium carbonate, etc.).

      (5) Recycling and disposal of waste PCB metals by electrochemical environmental protection;

      (6) Corrosion and protection of metals (corrosion inhibitors, coatings, cathode and anode protection, etc.).

      Material electrochemistry (32 hours, postgraduate course) ——It is an important course for postgraduates majoring in materials science and engineering. The content of Material Electrochemistry includes electrochemical principles and protection principles of metal corrosion, electrochemical research methods, electrochemical preparation methods of materials, chemical power supply, electrochemical properties of materials and other basic principles and applications.

      Principles of electrochemistry (48 hours, undergraduate course) —— The course mainly explains the basic principles and applications of electrochemistry, mainly for metal materials, including electrolyte system, electrode/interface properties, electrochemical thermodynamics and dynamics, and surface treatment, metal corrosion, electrolysis synthesis and chemical power supply applications.

      Metal Corrosion and Protection (40 hours, undergraduate course) ——It is the basic course of metal material engineering specialty. The task of this course is to enable students to grasp the principle of metal corrosion and protection, the factors affecting metal corrosion, and the methods of controlling corrosion, and to design a basic scheme to solve practical engineering problems using the theory they have learned.

      Polymer Materials (32 Hours, Undergraduate Course) —— This course introduces the synthesis, structure, physical and chemical properties and properties of polymer materials. It mainly introduces the processing and practical application of plastics, rubber, fibers, adhesives, coatings and functional polymers in polymer materials, as well as the testing and characterization methods of the properties of various polymer materials.
